With 2 home runs in Game 1 of the YFLPS World Series, Slayers 3B David Wright has now gone yard as many times in the post-season (4) as he did during the entire regular season.
Friday night's 32-22 win over the Warriors snapped an 8-game CW winning streak dating back to August 21.  Heading into the weekend, the Celtic Warriors had won 16 of their previous 18 games.
The Celtic Warriors are making their 4th consecutive (and 5th overall) appearance in the YFLPS World Series, while the Seoul Slayers are making their 4th trip to the Fall Classic.  The Warriors are 2-2 in World Series play and the Slayers are 2-1.  The two franchises have met just once before in the post-season, that coming in 2002, when the top-seeded Slayers ousted the 8th-seeded Mariners in the opening round of the playoffs, 2 games to none.  Since 2000, the two franchises have opposed each other 99 times during the regular season, with the Slayers owning a 58-39-2 advantage.  Since the franchise became the Celtic Warriors in 2008, the Slayers own a mark of 16-10-1 in head-to-head competition between the two clubs. Their 2011 series was split 3 games a piece.
